SEALS: SIGNS AND IDENTITY
The seal has accompanied the history of mankind. It is a negative impression etched onto malleable substances - paper, wax, fabric or clay - using a matrix that can be made of a variety of materials - silver, gold, bronze-.
Seals are one of the most ancient manifestations of civilization. They have been found in Mesopotamia since the seventh millennium BC and have always acted as a means of to identify their owners' personal identification and social standing.
An alter ego which allowed its owner to protect his own assets, ratify his own decisions or send his own image.
The seals we are presenting come from the Civic Seal Museum in La Spezia and well document the quality and variety of this item over time. Starting from ancient seals, Anna Fornari's jewellery is a reflection on the symbolic meaning of the seal in modern times.

Publio Virgilio Marone
The Lake Garda has always been the object of artistic contemplation. Since antiquity it left a striking impression on some of the most important figures of the cultural world: from Catullo to Dante, from Goethe to Gabriele D'Annunzio, from Klimt to Maria Callas.
Its intense and bright colours, its wide horizon delimited by the peaks of the Alpine mountains, its clear light and the uniqueness of its natural flora, are all distinctive traits which can be appreciated through a multisensorial experience.
Drawing inspiration from the verses of Virgil or from other famous personalities who were fascinated by the Lake Garda, the authors are asked to design a piece of jewelry which resembles the beauty of this territory.
* Nowadays more widely known as Lake Garda, it was named BENACUS by the Romans, who used this appellative since I century a.D., that is since the moment they had started colonizing the Venetian mainland.

What is the possible connection between Nature and Contemporary Jewelry?

In nature, everything is constantly changing. If we consider the mutual relationships among living things, artistic expression becomes one of the fundamental ways in which human beings discover the ties with their own genre and with nature itself.

The underground energy flowing through the veins of nature, always aiming at reproducing herself, but also devoted to constant transformation, can be likened to the energy of human creativity, always seeking new ways, new languages and emotions that can be crystallized into objects and shapes, the deep meaning of which emerges once they these are introduced into the heart of everyday life. The value of these objects can be understood from what the Japanese call Kechi-en, that is their bond with the surrounding "space". With our works, we want to demonstrate the existence of such a space where objects can react and interact outlining the extent of autonomy that separates them from the banality and repetitiveness of the regenerative energy of change.

Corrado De Meo

In order to emphasize the strong exists between fashion and contemporary jewelry, the temporary exhibition halls, will represent the collaboration with one of the sponsors, Milchstrasse boutique, which will display women's and men's clothes together with jewelry.

A projection of the Métissages edited by Nichka Marobin on the basis of a selection of works in the exhibition, will take place. The Métissages are artistic forms which explore the color-formal and conceptual association between jewelry and haute couture. They show how the restless life of the forms is manifested through different creative paths, but with the same aesthetic result.
It will also feature the sculptress Clara Porta.
The Garden Club of Livorno will provide for flower decorations

A buffet will be offered inside the amphitheater of Villa Henderson, headquarters of the Museum.

As curator and editor of the catalogue, AGC will offer a copy to each artist who will attend the opening.

Creativity Oggetti presenta in anteprima esclusiva ORIGO,

.
ORIGO prosegue fino all'11 marzo 2017.
