AGC the Italian Association for contemporary jewellery, in collaboration with

Fondazione Maria Cosway (Lodi, Italy)
Liceo Piazza (Lodi, Italy)
Fondazione Villa Romana Le Grotte - Portoferraio (Elba island, Italy)

A series of female portraits in the Napoleonic era by artists such as Maria Cosway, Élisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun, Angelica Kauffmann, Mary Moser, Anne Seymour Damer, and the female figures closest to Bonaparte - between Lombardy and Elba - Paolina, Madame Mére Maria Letizia Ramolino, Giulia Beccaria, inspire works of contemporary jewellery.

The curators of the exhibition are preparing a bibliography and a series of iconographic references to which art-jewelers and jewelry designers (AGC members) will be able to draw inspiration and combine their works with each portrait.
