
Mesdames | Female portraits and contemporary features
On the anniversary of the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte (1821-2021), AGC Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo and the University Library of Pavia are pleased to present the exhibition MESDAMES female portraits and contemporary features in the Napoleonic era prints of the University Library of Pavia, which will be held on May 4 at 5 p.m. in the prestigious Salone Teresiano of the University Library of Pavia.
A series of female portraits from the age of Napoleon, starting from the precious collections of prints conserved in the Library, inspire the juxtapositions with the jewel-like works of contemporary authors. The artists of the works in the exhibition have exhibited in international contexts and have participated in prestigious awards and collections dedicated to fine jewelry: Sara Barbanti, Maura Biamonti, Luisa Chiandotto, Jeemin Jamie Chung, Corrado De Meo, Laura Forte, Maria Rosa Franzin, Stefano Fronza, Lucilla Giovanninetti, Francesca Mo, Kazumi Nagano, Liana Pattihis, Sara Progressi, Yoko Takirai, Ognyana Teneva, Caterina Zanca.
The exhibition is curated by Eliana Negroni with the collaboration of Antonella Campagna and the setting up is by Francesca Mo.
