Precious Collective

Can you help us in our fundraising efforts to help the communities in Ukraine affected by the current crisis? As an organisation who has many contacts, we would like to ask you to share this campaign with as many people as you are able to within your network. There is no financial gain or profit for anyone involved, we are simply trying to raise money to help others!
The Precious Collective believes in community and fundamentally opposes war. We stand with the people of Ukraine.

Teaming up with Alliages to create Precious Solidarity, we are raising funds for the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund by GlobalGiving.
All donations to this fund will support humanitarian assistance in impacted communities in Ukraine and surrounding regions where Ukrainian refugees have fled. GlobalGiving's local partners in Ukraine are bringing relief to displaced families and people in high-risk areas, and they need resources to continue and expand their vital work.

We hope to reach as many people within our community as possible, so please help us as much as you can, however you can.

WHAT CAN YOU DO AS AN ORGANISATION?

We hope you will be able to spread our campaign to other makers who will want to take part. We have sent information below which you can copy and send to your community to help them understand how this fundraising will work and how they can be involved. More posts will be shared on our Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/precious.collective and the link to the Just Giving page can also be access from here too. You can view all the works on Alliages.org also.

If you have further questions, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If you would like to support us, the following is the information which you can send out to your community:

WHAT CAN YOU DO AS A MAKER?

Precious Collective are asking for as many wonderful jewellery artists, designers & makers that can (not just collective members), to donate one or more pieces of their work, which will be sold on the Precious Collective Instagram page (via our Just Giving page) with all proceeds going directly to Global Giving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.

As a donating artist, you will need to send:
• 3 images of each piece that you wish to donate (front view, back view and view of piece being worn) - these will only be used online, so do not need to be high resolution, professional or modelled shots and can be taken on a mobile phone. However they MUST show the work clearly (these images are being used to sell your work, so just need to be clear enough for potential buyers to see and get excited about what they’re buying)
• dimensions of each piece (in mm)
• materials & processes used
• your contact email address
• your recommended sale price for each piece

This must all be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ASAP.

All artists & makers will be responsible for the postage costs once your item(s) has sold as well as ensuring that your work is sent safely to its buyer. Although we ask for a recommended sale price, please note that we are trying to raise as many funds as we can and as quickly as possible, so it may be advisable to donate pieces that are not excessively expensive.

HOW DO I SEE WHAT JEWELLERY IS FOR SALE?

Simply follow the following steps:

1. Visit https://www.instagram.com/precious.collective to see the work for sale in the Precious Collective feed and stories.
2. If you would like to purchase a piece of work, send a direct message on Instagram to the Precious Collective. Include which piece you want to buy and Lynne will guide you through how to pay for your item (so long as it hasn’t already sold). Please note that no money will be taken by Precious Collective, Alliages or any of our makers. Everything will be processed by Just Giving and go straight to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund by GlobalGiving.
3. Once your donation has been received, we will send confirmation of purchase to the artist, who will be responsible for getting the piece of jewellery safely to you.

DO I HAVE TO BUY OR DONATE JEWELLERY?

The simple answer is no. If you wish to donate without receiving anything other than the wonderful feeling of helping others in need, you CAN just donate by visiting the Precious Solidarity Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/precious-solidarity-for-ukraine

Your donation to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund will provide food, shelter & clean water, access to education, health & psychosocial support and so much more to the impacted communities in Ukraine and surrounding regions.

Thank you all for your generosity and time!

All the best

Florence Jewellery Week 2022

The Florentine week dedicated to the fascinating microcosm of contemporary jewelry will be held in spring, from April 28 to May 2, and will be characterized this year by the rich calendar of events scheduled, including exhibitions, conferences, workshops and live demonstrations, scattered in different locations of the city center and the Oltrarno, including institutional spaces and galleries.

This year the curatorship of the entire event is entrusted to the duo Giò Carbone and Alice Rendon, who together have built a complex program dedicated to telling the jewelry in its various forms and applications, contemplating artistic research, craftsmanship, new technologies and sustainability.

Pure | Japanese Collective

The PURE exhibition at Thereza Pedrosa Gallery in Asolo runs from Saturday, November 27 through Sunday, December 25, or you can follow it online at https://therezapedrosa.com/pure-japanese-collective-exhibition

"Traveling takes us to places, people, languages and cultures unknown to us. Traveling enriches us in mind and spirit. But discovering the world can happen thousands of miles away or just a few feet from home. The important thing is not where we are, but to be ready to observe the world with a heart open to new discoveries and a curious mind. This group exhibition takes us to explore the richness of Japanese culture through the work of artists Kazumi Nagano, Mineri Matsuura, Nahoko Fujimoto, Mariko Sumioka and Yoko Takirai | Pietro Pellitteri.
Established artists with works present in the most important collections of contemporary jewelry in the world, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Alice and Louis Koch Rings Collection in Switzerland and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. They come to Asolo bringing all the delicacy and purity of their works, made in various materials: from the most precious, platinum, through gold and silver, to paper. Each of these artists is unique in their artistic expression, but they all share a deep connection with the sublime essence of Japanese thought and tradition."

Below are some works by the artists featured in the exhibition:

Kazumi Nagano, Untitles, brooch 1, Thereza Pedrosa Gallery

Mariko Sumioka, Stone wall, brooch, Thereza Pedrosa Gallery

Mineri Matsuura, Metamorphosis 01, brooch, Thereza Pedrosa Gallery

Nahoko Fujimoto, Untitled 2, pendant, Thereza Pedrosa Gallery

Yoko Takirai and Pietro Pellitteri, Linea Rigida, necklace, Thereza Pedrosa Gallery

4 Solo Show

We are proud to present 4 SOLO exhibitions. A special opportunity, to have a full view of their achievements held together in one venue.

We welcome you to join this gathering!!!

Saturday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. in the presence of Andrea Bortolamasi, Councillor for Culture of the City of Modena, the solo exhibition of Gigi Mariani, goldsmith, will be opened at the Civic Museum of Modena, Palazzo dei Musei in Largo Porta Sant'Agostino, 337.

The exhibition was created as a tribute by goldsmith Gigi Mariani for the 150th anniversary of the Civic Museum of Modena.

An exclusive collection of jewelry that a master of contemporary goldsmithing has dedicated to the 150th anniversary of his city's museum, combining works and artifacts from the past with the present and looking to the future. And it is precisely in this mixture of materials and techniques that the image of the museum's heritage connects with the present, renewing itself and making alive and vital that drive for dialogue with today and tomorrow that has animated the action of the Civic Museum in recent years.
